Pork Shoulder Roast
Made pork & suarekraut, and put it in the crock pot. Did not add brown sugar, had no apples. Used barley malt syrup, stevia, onions and garlic, and a little masala I had lying around.
Marinated the meat for Slow Roasted Pork Shoulder recipe, adapted from a Wall Street Journal recipe on Simply Recipes. I didn't have half the ingredients, so I opted for black mustard seed, peppercorns, herbs de provence, cumin seed, salt and garlic. Put that in the fridge for a few days.
Dry rubbed some pork ribs with a brisket rub I made last summer. Put them in the fridge for a few days.
Everything turned out fantastic. Slow cooked the shoulder and ribs in the Le Crouset.
