The Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center - It stopped raining.
It has been over a month since the last post, this I do regret. There isn't a boatload of people reading this blog, (maybe a kayak-actually); so an update of our journey may be redundant...but Mike's been going to NYC on the weekends and seeing a Chinese medicine doctor, (Dr. Sui). So that's going real well. Mike's counts are pretty good, and we're attributing that to the tea he's drinking. A tea consisting of leafy things, bark-y things, cross sections of roots, a dung-like looking thing...all which get boiled for an hour, then consumed 3x/day. She changes the ingredients based on her examination. I think she's aiming for clearing the body of toxins, building immunity, and stress relief. We were there today. The weather on report on Wednesday said sunny and 47. When we exited the subway in China Town it was pouring buckets with a 25 mile per hour wind. And we helped an old lady with a suitcase coming up the subway stairs and we got drenched, because she walked SO SLOW. Mike had his appointment. Dr. Sui added acupuncture to the regime today. The needles were teeny-weeny, and Mike said he just about fell asleep towards the end. It was still raining when we left. So, we spent the afternoon at the main library at 42nd and 5th. Wonderful building. Mike studied for his exams, I knitted, and dozed. We walked to Rockefeller Center, and went to the Irish pub, (our bus picks us up there, what luck!), watched football, and met a real nice gal from S. Africa, who is an artist and convinced me to do a shot of Jameson's.
